Properties/Uses: Anxiolytic, sedative, spasmolytic, antispasmodic, antioxidant, hypotensive, nervine, hypnotic, bactericidal, carminative. Valerian root essential oil may be used to help treat varicose veins, nervous indigestion, stress related digestive issues, haemorrhoids, as a nerve tonic, sleep disorders, stress related headaches and migraines.
Energetics: Valerian root essential oil may help relieve agitation, insomnia, nervous fatigue, irritability, fatigue, sleep disorders, nervous tension, restlessness, agitation. It may help to ground especially if feeling scattered, and unable to be in the present moment.
Use: Bath, diffuse, direct inhalation, oil vaporiser, oil burner, massage, perfumery
