Aromatic Description: Woody, herbaceous, vibrant, strong

Colour/Characteristics: Colourless to pale yellow thin liquid

Main Chemical Constituents: α-pinene, ß-pinene, camphene, limonene, p-cymene, borneol, bornyl acetate, 1,8 cineole, camphor, 

Blends Well With: Lemon, tea tree, lemongrass, eucalyptus, rosalina, thyme, grapefruit, fragonia, ginger, kunzea, pine, cedarwood, patchouli

Properties/Uses: Analgesic, antiviral, anti-rheumatic, carminative, decongestant, digestive, diuretic, expectorant, mucolytic, muscle relaxant, vulnerary, cephalic, rubefacient, tonic. Rosemary essential oil may be used to treat muscular aches & pains, arthritis, rheumatism, muscular weakness, cramps, spasms, headaches, migraines, abdominal spasms, respiratory conditions, sinus congestion, circulatory problems, fluid retention, oedema, cellulite, memory enhancement, acne, pimples, dandruff & hair loss. 

Energetics: Rosemary essential oil may help to relieve physical & mental fatigue, poor focus, poor memory, depression and low energy. Rosemary is stimulating & invigorating, & may aid poor concentration, promote motivation & self-confidence while helping to reduce apathy & pessimism. Rosemary may be used to help promote mental stability & clear thinking or clarity, especially if we are feeling distracted, confused or when we have repetitive thinking. 

Use: Diffuser, oil burner, direct inhalation, massage, ointment, cream, salve, bath, foot bath, compress. 

Safety: Non-toxic, non-irritating & non-sensitising. Avoid when pregnant or suffering from epilepsy. Has GRAS status.  Based on the camphor content, the oil may be neurotoxic.  Tisserand & Young state to not apply to or near the face of infants and children.
