Method of Extraction: Steam distilled leaves and branches and petals

Aroma: Fresh, heavily green, leafy, rose

Characteristics: Generally pale yellowish to greenish to darker greenish to yellow-brownish in colour.   Colour can vary depending on type and geographic location.

Main constituents: Geraniol, citronellol, linalool, nerol.

Actions: Analgesic, antidepressant, antimicrobial, anxiolytic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, astringent, cicatrisant, deodorant, diuretic, haemostatic, stimulant, styptic, tonic, vermifuge, vulnerary.  

Uses: detoxifying, acute and chronic skin conditions, wounds, bruises, eczema, psoriasis, acne, impetigo, athletes foot, calming, anxiety, nervous exhaustion, irritability, dry, oily, combination skin.

Blends well with: bergamot, chamomile German & Roman, lavender, lemon, mandarin, neroli, orange sweet, patchouli, vetiver, sandalwood, rose, juniper berry and jasmine.

Safety: Non-toxic, non-irritant, non-sensitising, no contraindications known, Has GRAS status, however may cause sensitivities in hypersensitive individuals.  

Uses in: baths, compress, massage, ointment, skin care, direct inhalation, diffuser, oil vaporiser, oil burner, creams.
