Energetics: Cooling & drying 

Properties: Nervine, hypnotic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antispasmodic, antibacterial, antianxiety, antidepressant, antioxidant, antimicrobial, cholagogue, carminative.  Lavender may be used to help relieve stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia, tension headaches, intestinal gas and nausea.  May be used to help promote relaxation and releasing stuck emotions.  May be used as a compress or in a bath use to help heal tears in the perineum from childbirth.  Use infused in an oil such as jojoba for a soothing, anti-inflammatory balm for bruises, sore joints, varicose veins, insect bites and rough or chafed skin.   

Use: Tea, infusion, vinegar, tincture, compress, wash, infusion, salve, bath, cooking.
