Common Uses: Jamarosa root essential oil has a fresh uplifting aroma and has widely been used in perfumery as an alternative to rose.  It mixes well when blended with a top and base note.  It has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for treating fevers, insect bites, fungal infections and skin problems such as acne.  Jamarosa root is a grass hybrid crossed between Cymbopogon nardus var. confertiflorus (Citronella) and Cymbopogon jwarancusa (Jwarankush).  Properties Jamarosa root is considered to have are antiseptic, antimicrobial, digestive, febrifuge, sedative, relaxant, stimulant.  It may help to reduce fevers, relieve respiratory infections, soothe the digestive system, treat skin disorders such as acne, help to relax and calm, promote sleep, relieve anxiety and stress and help to deter insects.
