Properties/Uses: Antibacterial, antifungal, analgesic, antimicrobial, antiviral, antirheumatic, decongestant, expectorant, rubefacient. Eucalyptus globulus essential oil may be used to relieve respiratory tract infections, sinusitis, muscular aches and pains, rheumatism and arthritis.
Energetics: May be used to relieve melancholia, to restore vitality and positivity. To encourage confidence when faced with obstacle and challenges especially if they are causing confusion, negativity or ambiguity. Eucalyptus is very clearing, it can help clear mental fogginess, fatigue, confusion, poor focus and forgetfulness. May be used to cleanse a place where there has been conflict or where we feel negative energies or energetic blockages.
Uses: diffuser, direct inhalation, compress, steam inhalation, diluted and applied to skin, salves, ointments.
Safety: Non-toxic, non-irritant, non-sensitising. Has GRAS status. It is recommended that eucalyptus oil preparations should not be applied to the face, especially the nose of infants or young children, by the WHO (World Health Organisation). Has GRAS status.
Conservation Status: Listed as least concern on the IUCN red list
