Properties/Uses: Analgesic, antifungal, antibacterial, antiseptic, antispasmodic, antiviral, carminative, stomachic, vermifuge, larvicidal.  Clove bud essential oil may be used to prevent & treat colds & flu, digestive issues, gastritis, excess gas, flatulence, stimulate digestion, stimulate appetite, muscular aches and pains, rheumatism, arthritis, sprains, mental tonic to help ward off feeling drowsy.

Energetics: Clove bud essential oil may help to relieve anxiety, mental & emotional fatigue and fear.  Clove buds warmth offers strength, energy and self-assuredness.  It can help to prepare us for action when we are needing to move forward on our path.  It offers us strength and confidence when we are needing to find our way through tough times, while helping to relieve our fears and negative thoughts.  

Use: Direct inhalation, diffuser, oil burner, oil vaporiser, massage, salve.  As clove bud is possible dermal sensitiser it is recommended to not use it in a bath.

Safety: Possible dermal sensitiser and skin irritant. Tisserand & Young recommend a maximum dermal limit of 0.5%.  May inhibit blood clotting and cause irritation to mucous membranes.  Avoid if pregnant.  Has GRAS status.
