Aromatic Intensity: Medium

Aromatic Description: Fresh, lemon-like, slightly spicy, woody

Colour/Characteristics: Colourless to pale yellow liquid

Main Chemical Constituents: α-pinene, ß-pinene, sabinene, limonene, ß-phellandrene, p-cymene. myrcene, α-phellandrene, elemol

Blends well with: Frankincense, lavender, rosemary, myrrh, sage, palo santo. cedarwood, myrrh, neroli, angelica root

Properties/Uses: Antiseptic, balsamic, cicatrisant, expectorant, stimulant, stomachic, tonic, harmonising, vulnerary.  May be used to ease congestion in the lungs, controlling excess mucous, general coughs, digestive issues, intestinal cramps, dyspepsia, diarrhoea, inflamed skin conditions, slow healing wounds, cuts, wounds, skin inflammation, wrinkles and unlcers.

Energetics: May be used to relieve symptoms of anxiety, depression, emotional traumas, nervous tension, to soothes the body, mind and spirit, to calm, centre, strengthen and balance.  It is also considered uplifting and harmonising.

Use: Diffusing, direct inhalation, oil burner, oil vaporiser, bath, skin care, ointment, balm, creams, salve, massage, compress

Safety: Non-toxic, non-irritant, non-sensitising.  No contraindications known.  Has GRAS status. 

Conservation Status: Listed as Near Threatened on the IUCN red list.
