Jasmine hydrosol has a distinct floral jasmine aroma that is more gentle than the potent, concentrated absolute.  Suzanne Catty describes it as smelling like jasmine blossoms still wet after the rain, which I think describes it perfectly.

Although there is not a lot of information regarding the therapeutic properties of jasmine hydrosol, it is considered to have anti-inflammatory benefits and can be use on the skin to help treat cuts, sores, acne and hot inflamed skin.  It may also be considered for helping to ease anxiety, stress, mental fatigue and depression.  I find it soothing and calming and absolutely divine as a facial and body mist.  It would be amazing kept in the fridge and used to cool down during the hot summer sun. 

The beautiful aroma of jasmine hydrosol would also make the perfect little girls natural eau de toilette.
