Properties/Uses: Antispasmodic, carminative, digestive stimulant, expectorant, hepatoprotective, stomachic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, cholagogic, depurative, diuretic, emmenagogue, galactagogue, splenic. Fennel sweet essential oil may be used to help treat digestive upsets, colic, indigestion, flatulence, constipation, IBS, nausea, decreased appetite, stomach pain or spasms, muscular cramps & spasms, muscular aches and pains, PMS, dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, menopause, perimenopause, respiratory conditions, coughs, flus, bronchitis, asthma, lung congestion, dull or oily skin, mature skin, urinary tract infections.
Energetics: May be used to help when feeling stuck emotionally, have unexpressed thoughts or emotions or feelings of inhibition when expressing self. It can help to remove creativity blocks, while promoting sustained intention, purpose, clarity of thought and integrity. Fennel was traditionally used as protection against evil and dark witches.
