Vetiver - Hydrosol - 50ml

Vetiveria zizanoides 

Vetiver hydrosol is distilled from the roots of the vetiver plant. It has an earthy, woody, green aroma that is slightly spicy and very reminiscent of vetiver essential oil, just a bit milder. It has a sweet, smoky taste that lingers and ends up slightly bitter. When added to water the bitter aftertaste disappears. 

Vetiver hydrosol may help in reducing inflammation, redness and itching and is considered cooling and nourishing for our skin. Other uses may include antiseptic, cicatrisant, vulnerary, sedative and tonic. 

Vetiver hydrosol has calming, peaceful, grounding effect. It may be used to help calm. balance, restore, relax, ground and as a gentle sedative when we are having trouble sleeping.

Vetiver hydrosol may help to soothe and comfort our body, mind and spirit, offering us emotional support when we need it. Vetiver hydrosol has been used to help reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, irritability, mood swings and ADHD. 

I feel vetiver hydrosol would work well with meditation, supporting clarity, focus and intention, helping to offer a clear perspective on emotional issues that have been clouded by past trauma. 

Uses - Room spray, face / body spritz or spray, compress, face wipe, bath, tea or drink, skin care.
